Subject: Prescription fraud affecting prescriptions from the Veterans Administration

The following message concerning prescription fraud affecting veterans who receive prescriptions from the Veterans Administration was received  by the Florida Council of Chapters (MOAA) from the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs.  Veterans are advised to be vigilant against this possible attempt to unlawfully gain credit card information.

Possible Prescription Fraud

Veterans are receiveing calls from a company identifying itself as the "Patient Care Group." This company is claiming that the veteran’s prescriptions are now being dispensed through them and if they wanted to continue to receive their meds, they would need to provide a credit card number.

The VA HAS NOT changed the process of receiving and dispensing prescriptions. This company is a FRAUD.

Please share with  other  veterans.

Thank you,
