resurrection/rapture and tribulation Daniel’s
70 weeks from Dan 9:20-27 has often been associated with end time events by
later day readers. This would
require a new temple to be built during a peace agreement where sacrifices would
resume Rev.11:1,2 and would have to be built during the opening of the seals 3.5
years before the trumpets of the Great Tribulation.
3.5 years later sacrifices would be put to an end and the following 3.5
years for the abomination of desolations. This looks plausible but there are a
couple problems. Daniel didn't mention the rebuilding of the nation, city or the
temple after the 69 weeks. There is no mention of what happened with the second
3.5 years. These may just be assumed. The
real problem is Rev.11:1,2 which says the temple court area is not to be
measured and "is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they
tread under foot forty and two months" indicating the times of the Gentiles
still has another 3.5yrs and the 70th week, Jewish covenant and sacrifices, will
either have to overlap the times of the Gentiles by 3.5 years or will start
after the times of the Gentiles and include the Bowl judgment time which has
only unbelievers. Another
view is much older and is submitted here for argument. Daniels 70th week would
set up the new covenant and is interrupted midway by the end to sacrifices.
Jesus’ death and resurrection 3.5 years after the start of his ministry
is a good end to sacrifices by a new covenant. The woman in Rev 12 was protected
and fed 3.5 years after the child was caught up to God.
See attachment from Adam Clark for details of an already fulfilled 70
weeks. This version of the
Revelation of Jesus Christ will use the later day beliefs. Each
Beast represent power kingdoms of the world,
The first three are past and the 4th will be evident with the scarlet
woman at the beginning of the Great Tribulation Daniel
7:1In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of
the matters. 2Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold,
the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 3And four great beasts
came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4The first was like a lion, and
had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was
lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s
heart was given to it. 5And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and
it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it
between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of
it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given
to it. 7After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast,
dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it
devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and
it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn,
before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and,
behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great
things. Daniel
7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions
of my head troubled me. 16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked
him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of
the things. 17These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall
arise out of the earth. 18But the saints of the most High shall take the
kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. 19Then I
would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others,
exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which
devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20And of the
ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom
three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great
things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21I beheld, and the same
horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22Until the Ancient
of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the
time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 23Thus he said, The fourth
beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all
kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break
it in pieces. 24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall
arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the
first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25And he shall speak great words against
the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to
change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and
times and the dividing of time. 26But the judgment shall sit, and they shall
take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27And the
kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven,
shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an
everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. 28Hitherto is
the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my
countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart. Beast

Unnamed Roman Empire
30BC Invaded Israel
after the fall of the Maccabees Israel
has been downtrodden since the Maccabees' fall and finally scattered throughout
the world. The Roman Empire lost its hold after 200yrs however its brutality
galvanized the Christian Church. The
Church slowly grew to sufficient political power within some countries that they
began liberating oppressed peoples. In
time Israel was allowed a grant to their homeland.
The Church has lost much of its political clout in the recent past and is
now undergoing increased persecution by a new world order.
This new order consists of the worlds superpowers as well as the whole of
the old Roman Empire, the old Roman influence is still strong today; a type of
the Beast that was slain yet lived again. Extreme
care must be taken when applying the book of Ezekiel to the end times.
Most of what is thought of as the end time events have already taken
place, remember, Israel has been overrun and rebuilt a number of times.
Below is the last falling away and gathering back, a scant 13 verses.
The rest of the chapters that follow are visions of the Millennium. Israel rejected Christ and was conquered by RomeEzekiel 39:17And, thou son of man, thus
saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the
field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my
sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains
of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. 18Ye shall eat the
flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams,
of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19And
ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my
sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20Thus ye shall be filled
at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war,
saith the Lord GOD. 21And I will set my glory among the heathen, and
all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I
have laid upon them. 22So the house of Israel shall know that I am
the LORD their God from that day and forward. Israel scattered throughout the WorldEzekiel 39:23And the heathen shall know
that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they
trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the
hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24According to
their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them,
and hid my face from them. 25Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now
will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house
of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; Israel returned to their own landEzekiel 39:26After that they have borne
their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me,
when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27When
I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their
enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28Then
shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into
captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and
have left none of them any more there. 29Neither will I hide my face
any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel,
saith the Lord GOD. REVELATION REVEALED Introduction
REV. 1:1-3
John
told to make a record/book of the things that are and will be hereafter 65AD 1The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants(believers)
things which must shortly come to pass(Dan 2:28,29,45 will happen quickly); and he sent and signified it by his angel
unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of
the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed
is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep
those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. Seven
“Blessed”s in Revelation 1:3; 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6; 22:7, 14 2 Peter 3:7But the heavens and the earth,
which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against
the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8But, beloved, be
not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand
years, and a thousand years as one day. Time
is near
22:6-11 6And he said unto me, These sayings
are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to
show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7Behold,
I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this
book. (angel’s message from Jesus)8And
I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell
down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. 9Then
saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy
brethren the prophets(angelic), and of them which keep the
sayings of this book: worship God. 10And he saith unto me, Seal not
the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11He
that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be
filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that
is holy, let him be holy still. Jesus
testifies to the Churches
22:12-17 12And, behold, I
come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work
shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree
of life(promise of Rev22:2 at the new heaven and earth), and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15For
without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters,
and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie(not
receiving the blessing results in being left behind and ultimately the eternal
lake of fire, away from the new heaven and earth).
16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify
unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David,
and the bright and morning star. 17And the Spirit and the
bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst
come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. A
Warning
22:18,19 18For I testify unto every man that
heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And
if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God
shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and
from the things which are written in this book. I
AM Coming Quickly
22:20,21 20He
which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come
quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Background of the
past and future
The Woman Child & Dragon 12:1-63BC
to 30AD 1And
there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the
moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (Israel) : 2And she being with child cried,
travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3And there appeared
another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon(Satan),
having(possessing)
seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.(the 7 crowned heads depict the early Roman Empire,
not the Tribulation Beast.) 4And his tail drew(coaxed) the third part of the stars(angels)
of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman
which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5And she brought forth a man child(Jesus), who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was
caught up unto God, and to his throne. End
Daniel’s 69th week Even
as Satan gets credit for his evil, God is in full control. Zechariah 9:9Rejoice greatly, O daughter
of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he
is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt
the foal of an ass. 10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim,
and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall
speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea,
and from the river even to the ends of the earth. Zechariah 11:7And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock(Canaanites). And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty(grace), and the other I called Bands(unity); and I fed the flock. 10And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 11And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD. 12And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. 14Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. Skip
1900+ years … Daniel’s 70th week 2nd half
ref vs.14 6And
the woman fled into the wilderness (land
of the heathen, Gentiles), where she hath a place prepared of God, that
they should feed her there (except
for the final?) a
thousand two hundred and threescore days. Some
have suggested the 1260 days should be seen as 1260 years. From the time of
Israel being dispersed by the Romans to the renewed Israel Nation in 1948 was
nearly 1900 years. There was no
significant change around 1330 therefore I have discounted this assumption.
There was also no identifiable occurrence of Israel being fed in the
desert for 1260 days following the dispersal.
I must therefore identify this event with Daniel’s 70th week
2nd half. The first half
is to be relatively peaceful under a treaty, but as scripture bears out, the
treaty will break down and Israel will be severely attacked and run into the
mountains. Satan thrown out of heaven
12:7-12
The return of Jesus to Heaven called for the permanent oust of Satan. Yes, Satan did have access to heaven, Job 1: Job 1:6 Now
there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD,
and Satan came also among them.
5And she brought forth a man child(Jesus), who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was
caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6And
the woman (nation
that bore the Son of God)
fled into the wilderness (land
of the heathen, Gentiles), where she hath a place prepared of God, that
they should feed her there (until
the final 3 1/2 years?) a
thousand two hundred and threescore days. Immediately following Jesus' ascension and return to His thrown, having concurred death and carrying His new sword of salvation, Satin could no longer hold the authority or right to accuse the Saints. It was at this point where Satan being cast from heaven that Jesus sent His Comforter/Holy Spirit to tend the the needs of the Saints 30AD
to present 7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ (Christianity): for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (martyrs). 12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (1900+ years is short compared to eternity) John
12:31 Now is the
judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32And I,
if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
The woman persecuted 12:13-17Daniel’s
70th week 2nd half 13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle(i.e. the Roman standard and the American symbol; possible airlift but more likely refers to God providing a swift escape to the mountains in and around Israel), that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place(Israel), where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time(3.5 yrs, see vs.6), from the face of the serpent. 15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood (an army) after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16And the earth helped the woman(could be International protection, but I look for God’s intervention as in the period of trumpets), and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (144,000 Jews) . Look for the possibility that Israel may be hidden or protected
by another country during the last half. Greetings to the
Seven Churches
1:4-8
4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood(To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! 2 Cor 5:8), 6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, he cometh with clouds(all the saints with Him); and every eye shall see him(televised?), and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Vision of the Son
of Man
1:9-20
9I
John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom
and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the
word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10I was in the
Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying,
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What
thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in
Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and
unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12And I
turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden
candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like
unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the
paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like
wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And
his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as
the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars:
and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the
sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet
as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear
not; I am the first and the last: 18I
am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and
have the keys of hell and of death. 19Write
the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which
shall be hereafter; 20The mystery of the seven stars which thou
sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars
are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks
which thou sawest are the seven churches. While
some have tried to identify a church period for each of the seven churches there
are elements of all seven seen in all ages.
It may be more accurate to identify these churches with those in approach
to the great tribulation. Read them
carefully. They speak to seven
different attributes of which one or more will apply to any church today.
Some tell of the unrepentant going through the wrath of God, the bowl
judgments, and others being caught out before the great tribulation.
While some over-comers appear to take on the white regiment of the
millennial kingdom others are promised the eternal kingdom of the new heaven and
new earth. Read them carefully,
and chose of which church you want to be part. The Loveless Church

A.D. 1Unto
the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the
seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden
candlesticks; 2I
know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear
them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and
are not, and hast found them liars: 3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast
laboured, and hast not fainted. 4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee,
because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember
therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or
else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick(church)
out of his place, except thou repent. 6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes,
which I also hate. 7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life(Rev22:2
at the new heaven and earth), which is in the midst of the paradise of God. The Persecuted
Church

A.D 8And
unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and
the last, which was dead, and is alive; 9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)
and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews(Jewish
proselytes or unbelievers, undermining the church),
and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10Fear none of those things which thou shalt
suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be
tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days(brief suffering):
be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that
overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death(lake of fire, Rev20:14 passes through
the Great White throne judgment). The Compromising
Church
2:12-17

A.D. 12And
to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath
the sharp sword with two edges; 13I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat
is(in
the compromising church): and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith,
even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among
you, where Satan dwelleth. 14But I have a few things against thee,
because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught
Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things
sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15So
hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I
hate.
16Repent;
or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the
sword of my mouth(Rev19:15 Christ returns to smite the nations after the Wrath).
17He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a
white stone, and in the stone a new name(similar to Rev3:12 going into new heaven
and earth) written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. The Corrupt Church

A.D. 18And
unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of
God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine
brass; 19I
know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience,
and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20Notwithstanding
I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit
fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21And
I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22Behold,
I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great
tribulation(unrepentant go into the great tribulation),
except they repent of their deeds. 23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall
know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one of you according to your works. 24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in
Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths
of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25But
that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my
works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27And
he shall rule them with a rod of iron(millennial kingdom); as the vessels of a potter shall they be
broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28And
I will give him the morning star(Rev22:16). 29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit saith unto the churches. The Dead Church

A.D. 1And
unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath
the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast
a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2Be watchful, and strengthen the things
which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect
before God. 3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast,
and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief(will
go to the 6th bowel of wrath and Armageddon Rev16:15),
and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which
have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they
are worthy. 5He

mention of the Church until chapter 19. Woman in purple and scarlet riding the Beast of the Sea into power MYSTERY, BABYLONMystery
Babylon has been around for a very long time, in fact since the Tower of Babel.
As a result of the four
horsemen war, a new mortal Beast (Anti-Christ) will offer the promise of peace
through a seven year treaty and the Woman will ride it into renewed power.
Chapter 17 covers a period from before the Roman empire until the Beast
asserts power over the Woman in the middle if the 70th week, around
the 6th Trumpet. Note
that much of this may already be happening. See
Appendix I for a modern application to the national representation of the Beast. Revelation 171And
there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with
me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great
whore(perverting
the Word of God) that
sitteth upon many waters(worldwide):
2With
whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of
the earth have been made drunk(deceivable)
with the wine of her
fornication. 3So he carried me away in the spirit into the
wilderness: and I saw a woman(deception) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of
blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns(no crowns at this point). 4And
the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and
precious stones and pearls(rich),
having a golden cup(the
golden cup of the Lord will be poured out on her) in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5And
upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY (originated at the Tower of Babel Acts
19:23-27 perversion of every religion) , BABYLON THE GREAT(world view, multi-God/anti-God worship),
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6And I saw the woman drunken with the
blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw
her, I wondered with great admiration. 7And the angel said unto me,
Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the
beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8The
beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless
pit, and go into perdition(lake of fire)(a person, anti-Christ, leader of a beastly nation):
and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in
the book of life from the foundation of the world(some names not written into the book of life, destined to aid in
fulfilling God’s Plan vs.17),
when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 9And
here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains((kingdoms(Empires)not
the hills of Rome, see vs.10), on which the woman sitteth. 10And there are seven kings: five
are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he
must continue a short space.(see appendix I) 11And
the beast(a
person) that
was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition(destroyed
by Christ Rev19:20). 12And
the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as
yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast(sold
out to rule). 13These
have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14These
shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord
of lords, and King of kings(Rev 19:19-21): and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15And
he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are
peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues(the
seat of the whore is the center where the nations meet, i.e. the UN,
vs18).
16And the ten horns(kings) which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate
the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn
her with fire (Rev 18:8). 17For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and
to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be
fulfilled. (some
names not written into the book of life, destined to aid in fulfilling God’s
Plan) 18And
the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of
the earth. (one
world system meeting in a central city; United Nations?) Matt 24:4And Jesus answered and said unto
them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For
many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And
ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For
nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All
these are the beginning of sorrows. 9Then
shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be
hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10And
then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one
another. 11And
many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12And
because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13But
he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14And
this gospel of the kingdom (reign of Christ)
shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then
shall the end come. 1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. The Throne Room of

Ch 4
1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. 2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment(redeemed); and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.(6 spirits, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge & fear of the Lord listed in Is 11:2, spirit of truth in John 15:26;other spirits from God found such as faith, prophesy & life.) 6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 5:1-7
1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne(God) a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb (name used only by John) as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 5:8-14
8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;(who are these if the rapture has not taken place yet? To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! 2 Cor 5:8) 10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall(future) reign on the earth. 11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands(100million+); 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea (Rom 8:18-24), and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. Take special notice; This single verse sums up the entirety of the last 7 year period of the Jewish Nation(And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week), the timing of their loss of sacrifice and worship (in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease), the period of the occupation of Israel (for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate) until the harvesting of all nations (even until the consummation). It even adds a time for the poured out Wrath over the wicked (and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate). All that is left is for Christ to set up His Kingdom. Daniel 9:27And he shall
confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he
shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that
determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Beginning of Sorrows Matt 24:8prelude

Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the
heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where
is their God? Joel 3:1For, behold, in those days, and in that time,
when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2I will also
gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and
will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they
have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3And they have cast lots
for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine,
that they might drink. 4Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon,
and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompense? and if ye
recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompense upon your own
head; 5Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your
temples my goodly pleasant things: 6The children also of Judah and the children
of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from
their border. 7Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold
them, and will return your recompense upon your own head: 8And I will sell your

2And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut

out of the land. 3And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy,
then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not
live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his
mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 4And it
shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of
his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to
deceive: 5But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught
me to keep cattle from my youth. 6And one shall say unto him, What are these
wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in
the house of my friends. 7Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the
man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the
sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8And
it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein
shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9And I will bring
the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and
will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear
them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. The Four Horsemen

the Rapture may take place before or
during the Horsemen of the Apocalypse (first four seals), it should surely have
occurred before the seven year peace treaty between the Beast and the Jewish
nation. The treaty will mark the
beginning of Daniel’s 70th week and an end to the time of the
Gentiles. Almost ALL references to the Rapture, the dead first then the
living, come from the writings of Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles.
The dead first should be obvious, since once the body of the obedient
Christian dies, the spirit is immediately taken to heaven.
Jesus will bring them back with Him to retrieve their translated bodies,
then the living Christians who are faithful, obedient and ready will be
translated and join Him. Most Gospel
writings and all the old testament refer to the nation of Israel.
Jesus spent most of His ministry preparing the Jews for the coming
Kingdom of His earthly rule. Their
final rejection at the end focused His redemptive action for all nations and
doomed the Jewish Nation to destruction and dispersal.
Jesus was not only aware of this but planned it, scattering bits of
information for Christianity throughout His ministry.
The Apostles still directed most of their attention to the Jews even
after His Resurrection but the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts intervened to
show Peter, as an example, that he also needed to reach the Gentiles. 1 Thess 5:1-9 watch

of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For
yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the
night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall
not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day
should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light,
and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6Therefore
let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For
they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the
night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord
Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we
should live together with him. 11Wherefore comfort yourselves
together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. See

result of the four horsemen war and/or the sixth seal will make the missing
persons of the rapture insignificant and unnoticed. 5th

they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and
their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled

and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded
for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped

foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand

the death. Luke 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect,
which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8I tell you
that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,

there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise,
and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2But

is the Tribulation Temple not the Millennial temple of Ezekiel 40 to 46.
Ezekiel's temple has an outer court. Also Refer to Ez 43:7 .
Sacrifices should start soon after the treaty whether the temple is
finished or not, Moses started with a tent Tabernacle, however they must stop
3.5 years before the abomination that maketh desolate.
Dan 12: 11And from the time that the daily

prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all
nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of
the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25And
there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the
earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men’s
hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are

then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 7th
Seal
Prelude to trumpets
8:1-6 1And
when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space
of half an hour. (7.5
days? If 7 days = 7 years then .5 hours = 7.5 days) 2And I saw the seven angels which stood
before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3And another angel
came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto
him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon
the golden altar which was before the throne. 4And the smoke of the
incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out
of the angel’s hand. 5And the angel took the censer, and filled
it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were
voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6And the
seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. TRUMPETS calling to judgment The

The Two Witnesses Revealed
Rev 11:3-6 3And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: Matt 11:14 And if ye will

The
first four Trumpets, like the first four Seals, will probably occur quickly as
one continuing event. As a "to

be a short break, 7.5 days, in the earth's changes until the seventh seal is
opened and trumpets blown for the punishment of a disobedient and rebellious
people left behind after the rapture. 1st

I saw a star(angel

from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the
bottomless pit. 2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a
smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air
were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3And there came out
of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the
scorpions of the earth have power. 4And it was commanded them that
they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither
any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads
(144,000).
5And
to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be
tormented five months(duration

man. 6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not
find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7And
the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on
their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces
of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were
as the teeth of lions. 9And they had breastplates, as it were
breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots
of many horses running to battle. 10And they had tails like unto
scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men
five months. 11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of
the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek
tongue hath his name Apollyon. 12One woe is past; and, behold, there
come two woes more hereafter. Interesting note: scorpions from the pit, king in the pit --- to hurt bad guys?? Jesus

Angels at Euphrates
9:13-21 13And
the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden
altar which is before God, 14Saying to the sixth angel which had the
trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15And
the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a
month, and a year(planned release), for to slay the third part of men. 16And the number of the
army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand (200Million):
and I heard the number of them. 17And thus I saw the horses in the
vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth,
and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out
of their mouths issued fire and smoke(gas)
and brimstone. 18By
these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke(gas)
, and by the brimstone,
which issued out of their mouths. 19For their power is in their
mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had
heads, and with them they do hurt. 20And the rest of the men which
were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands,
that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass,
and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21Neither
repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their
fornication, nor of their thefts. to

heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast
heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. 20Destruction upon
destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents
spoiled, and my curtains in a moment. 21How long shall I see the standard, and
hear the sound of the trumpet? 22For my people is foolish, they have not known
me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise
to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23I beheld the earth, and,
lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24I
beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were
fled. 26I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the
cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce
anger. 27For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet
will I not make a full end. 28For this shall the earth mourn, and the
heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will
not repent, neither will I turn back from it. 29The whole city shall flee for
the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up
upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein. 30And
when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with
crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest
thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will
despise thee, they will seek thy life. 31For I have heard a voice as of a woman
in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the
voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands,
saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers. 2nd

Crowns are now
given to the ten kings
1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast(anti-Christ) rise up out of the sea(humanity), having seven heads(empires past & future) and ten horns(kings Dan 7:24), and upon his horns ten crowns(authority), and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion(Dan 7:2-7 reverse order): and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3And I saw one of his heads(empires) as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon(Satan, Rev 12:9) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue(some texts say make war) forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. Matt 24:15 When ye
therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 7And
it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:
and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Matt 24:16 Then
let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17Let
him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18Neither
let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19And
woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20But
pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
No
flight on the Sabbath day indicates the old Law of Moses is in force. 8And

behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it
had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue
with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it;
and it had ten horns. 8I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among
them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns
plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of
man, and a mouth speaking great things. Danial 7:19Then I would know the truth of the
fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful,
whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in
pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20And of the ten horns that were
in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of
that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look
was more stout than his fellows. 21I beheld, and the same horn made war with the
saints, and prevailed against them; 22Until the Ancient of days came, and
judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the
saints possessed the kingdom. 23Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the
fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and
shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that
shall arise: and another shall rise after them(the
False Prophet);
and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25And
he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints

13:11-18
11And
I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a

and he spake as a dragon(like

he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth
and them which dwell therein to worship(religious leader)
the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13And he doeth great
wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight
of men, 14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of
those miracles(satanic
power) which
he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the
earth, that they should make an image to the beast(commonly done in dictatorships),
which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15And he had power to
give life(breath)
unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and
cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And
that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the
beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath
understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and
his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Many
expect this to be a Jew – Several times in history a great Jew was 2nd
in command of a foreign land, i.e.
Moses, Joseph, and Daniel. There
will be some to aid and abed those that don’t take the mark. Matt 25:31-46

most historical theologies Daniel 8 is seen as foretelling the Greek/Persian war
of Alexander the Great and final overthrow by the Roman Empire.
Many verses give it credence for the end times, and supplies a good
picture of the origin and end of the beast. Danial 8:1In the third year of the reign of king
Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which
appeared unto me at the first. 2And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when
I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam;
and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai. 3Then I lifted up mine
eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram(region)
which had two horns(kings): and the two horns were high(strong);
but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. 4I saw the ram
pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand
before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did
according to his will, and became great. 5And as I was considering, behold, an he
goat(powerful force, Coalition)
(goat used for sin offering for the people Lev 16:15) came
from the west on the face of the whole
earth, and
touched not the ground:
and the goat had a notable horn(king) between his eyes. 6And he came to
the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran
unto him in the fury of his power. 7And I saw him come close unto the ram, and
he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two
horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him
down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver
the ram out of his hand. 8Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he
was strong, the great horn was broken(Coalition broke up); and for it
came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. 9And out of one of
them came forth a little horn(origin of the beast), which waxed exceeding
great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land(Saudi
Arabia). 10And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down
some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them(Rev
12:4). 11Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host(Christ),
and by him(the beast Anti-Christ) the daily sacrifice was taken away, and
the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12And an host(false prophet)
was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it
cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced(did miracles Rev 13:14),
and prospered. 13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto
that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the
daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the
sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14And he said unto me, Unto
two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
(6yr 4mo. The destruction by the Romans has lasted 1900+ years)
15And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and
sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of
a man. 16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called,
and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. 17So he came near
where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he
said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be
the vision. 18Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my
face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. 19And he said,
Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the
indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The following explanation by Gabriel fits the time of Alexander the Great to the Roman Empire, however, take note to the underlines that indicate end times. I have also added notes to give possibility to modern times. It is good to remember that if the Jews had accepted Jesus this would have fit their end in AD 70. I believe this may be a dual purpose chapter. 20The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the
kings of Media(Iraq) and Persia(Iran). 21And the rough goat is the
king of Grecia(European Union, U.S. Coalition): and the great horn that
is between his eyes(centering the Coalition) is the first king(leader).
22Now that being broken(coalition split), whereas four stood up for it,
four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power(U.N.
ruled). 23And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors
are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark
sentences, shall stand up(beast). 24And his power shall be mighty, but
not by his own power(Satan’s): and he shall destroy wonderfully, and
shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people(Israel
destroyed in AD70 by the first Roman beast.
Won’t happen again until the end of Daniels 70th week).
25And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and
he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many:
he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes(Christ); but
he shall be broken without hand(Rev 19:15). 26And the vision of the
evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the
vision; for it shall be for many days. 27And I Daniel fainted, and was sick
certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was
astonished at the vision, but none understood it. The
Beast comes before the witness are killed --------------- it is the beast that
kills them. Matt 24:21 For
then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for
the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23Then
if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24For
there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs
and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very
elect. 25Behold,
I have told you before. 26Wherefore
if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold,
he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. GT+1260 The Two Witnesses

great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was
crucified. 9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and
nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer
their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10And they that dwell upon the
earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to
another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. The Two Witnesses

11And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. vs

Matt 24:15When ye therefore shall see the abomination
of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso

mountains: 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing
out of his house: 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take
his clothes. 19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck
in those days! 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on
the sabbath day: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And except
those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the
elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23Then if any man shall say unto
you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25Behold, I have
told you before. 26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the
desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west;
so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28For wheresoever the carcase is,
there will the eagles be gathered together. 29Immediately after the tribulation
of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then
shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send
his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his

1And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: 2And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, 3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: 7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and
it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10And
I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in

The Kingdom Proclaimed
11:15-19 15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Matt 4:8 Again,
the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the
kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him,
All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
(Satan cannot see the future!) Luke 15:10Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in
the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. 16And
the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their
faces, and worshipped God, 17Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God
Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee
thy great power, and hast reigned. 18And the nations were angry, and
thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the
saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them
which destroy the earth. Dan 12:1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the
great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a
time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same
time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that
shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the
dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame
and everlasting contempt. Isa 26:19Thy dead men shall live, together with my
dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy
dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20Come, my
people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide
thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no

144,000
14:1-5
1And
I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an
hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their
foreheads. 2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers
harping with their harps: 3And they sung as it were a new song before
the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could
learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed
from the earth. 4These are they which were not defiled with
women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever
he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits
unto God and to the Lamb. 5And in their mouth was found no guile:
for they are without fault before the throne of God. Heb 12:18For ye are not come unto the mount that
might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness,
and tempest, 19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice
they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast
touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21And so
terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) 22But ye
are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23To the general assembly
and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge
of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24And to Jesus the mediator
of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things
than that of Abel. The Proclamations

The
proclamations give a strong message of what is expected for those who are left
behind after the harvest. 6And
I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to
preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and
tongue, and people, An
angel will carry on the spread of the Gospel when the ministers of this world
are taken out. 7Saying
with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his
judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea,
and the fountains of waters. Matt. 25:28 Marvel
not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves
shall hear his voice, 29And
shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and
they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Rom. 2:5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart
treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation
of the righteous judgment of God; 6Who will render to every man according
to his deeds: 7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for
glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8But unto them that are
contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation
and wrath, 9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10But glory, honour, and peace, to
every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the
Gentile: The
message from the angel is expanded by the warning of "the hour of His
judgment". Matt 25:28 and
Romans 2:5-10 indicate the time of grace is over and what you do bares it's full

there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great
city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her

Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall
be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20It shall never be
inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither
shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold
there. 21But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their
houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and
satyrs shall dance there. 22And the wild beasts of the islands shall
cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and
her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. Isa. 21:9And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men,
with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is
fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the
ground. Jer. 51:7Babylon hath been a golden cup in the
LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of
her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Heaven exults over
Babylon’s fall
Revelation 18 1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues (1 Cor 3:16,17; 1 Cor 6:19; 2 Cor 6:17). 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. (FUTURE TENSE)>> 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 15The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. 20Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. 22And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. 9And
the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the
beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The
same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without
mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And
the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest
day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the
mark of his name. Isa. 51:17Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which
hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the
dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
19These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee?
desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I
comfort thee? Ps. 11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire
and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their
cup. 12Here
is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus. 13And
I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which
die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from
their labours; and their works do follow them. 2 Thes. 1:6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to
recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled
rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty
angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that
obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with
everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his
power; Heb. 6:10For God is not unrighteous to forget your
work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister. Note
that it is good for them to die to obtain rest, their WORKS, not Grace will

honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Mark 4:29 But when
the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the
harvest is come. 15And
another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat
on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to
reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16And he that sat on the
cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 1 Corinthians 15:51Behold, I show you a mystery; We

the Great Tribulation
7:9-17
9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb(martyrs). 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. These
had to do / prove something to be saved, not simply accepting salvation of the
Christ. They represent the "five virgins" left behind. Reaping the Grapes
of Wrath
14:17-20
Jesus
will reap His Church after the tares are harvested. The time of harvesting
will occur during the sounding of an angel at the seventh Trumpet,
here an angel reaps at the command of another angel.
Only the evil ones already dead are reaped "11:18
the time of the dead, that they should be judged"; the Bowl
judgements are loaded with evil men and Ch19:11-21 shows Christ leading the
charge to finish off the followers of the Beast. It
may be interesting to note that the angel is to thrust his sickle into
the earth while Jesus will thrust His sickle on the earth.
Another hint that this harvest time is for the evil dead, the
living believers and the martyres for Christ. 17And
another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp
sickle. 18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power
over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying,
Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth;
for her grapes are fully ripe. 19And the angel thrust in his
sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and
cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20And the
winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress,
even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred
furlongs. Matt. 13:49So
shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever
the wicked from among the just, 50And
shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of
teeth. Joel 3:13Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is
ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their
wickedness is great. 14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the
day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. This
Joel reference points to both the reaping of the grapes of wrath and to the 6th
Bowl Judgement where the nations will come to the valley of Megiddo /
Armageddon. Another example of the
dead wicked lost harvested, yet leaving the multitudes alive to meet the Lord in
the valley of decision. Daniel

judgments
15:1-16:1
1And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. 5And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials(as opposed to the golden cup of Babylon) full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple(of heaven), till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your
ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 1 Sam. 15:3Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly
destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman,
infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 1 Sam. 15:18And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and
said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them
until they be consumed. The
Amalekites, a people of Arabia Petrea, who inhabited a tract of country on the
frontiers of Egypt and Canaan, had acted with great cruelty towards the
Israelites on their coming out of Egypt, and God then purposed that Amalek, as a
nation, should be blotted out from under heaven; but it had been spared till it
had filled up the measure of its iniquities, and now this purpose is carried
into effect by Saul, upwards of 400 years afterwards!
Nothing could justify such an exterminating decree but the absolute
authority of God; and this was given. All
the reasons of it we do not know; but this we know well, the Judge of all the
earth doeth right. Ezek. 5:5And to the others he said in mine hearing,
Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither
have ye pity: 6Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and
women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my
sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. 7And
he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye
forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. 8And it came to pass, while
they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and
said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring
out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? 9Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house
of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the
city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and
the LORD seeth not. Ezek. 10:2And he spake unto the man clothed with
linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill
thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over
the city. And he went in in my sight. Matt. 13:41The Son
of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all
things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And
shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of
teeth. 2And
the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome
and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them
which worshipped his image. (this
will be everyone, all believers have been harvested) Exod. 9:8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron,
Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward
the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. 9And it shall become small dust in all the
land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon
beast, throughout all the land of Egypt. 10And they took ashes of the furnace,
and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became
a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. 11And the magicians
could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the
magicians, and upon all the Egyptians. This
was a significant command; not only referring to the fiery furnace, which was a
type of the slavery of the Israelites, but to a cruel rite common among the
Egyptians. They had several cities styled Typhonian, in which at particular
seasons they sacrificed men, who were burnt alive; and the ashes of the victim
were scattered upwards in the air, with the view, probably, that where any atom
of dust was carried, a blessing was entailed.
The like, therefore, was done by Moses, though with a different
intention, and more certain effect. Deut. 7:15And the LORD will take away from thee all
sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest,
upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Deut. 28:27The LORD will smite thee with the botch of
Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou
canst not be healed. 28The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness,
and astonishment of heart: 29And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind
gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be
only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Job 2:7So went Satan forth from the presence of the
LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the
ashes. Luke 16:20 And
there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of
sores, 21And
desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table:
moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22And
it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into
Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 2nd
Bowl Sea turns to blood
16:3 3And
the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of
a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. Ezek. 16:38And I will judge thee, as women that break
wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and
jealousy. Blood
as of a dead man is an interesting wording, will it coagulate, loose its
oxygen, turn black, or a combination of any or all three.
Reguardless, nothing can live in this 'water of death'.
This could be an anti-type if the 'water of life'. 3rd
Bowl Fresh water turns to blood
16:4-7 4And
the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and
they became blood. 5And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art
righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged
thus. 6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou
hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy(blood thirsty). 7And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord
God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. Exod. 7:20And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD
commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the
river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the
waters that were in the river were turned to blood. 21And the fish that was in
the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the
water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. Dan. 9:14Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the
evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works
which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. Rom. 2:5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart
treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the
righteous judgment of God; 2 Thes. 1:5Which is a manifest token of the righteous
judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which
ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense
tribulation to them that trouble you; Isa. 49:26And I will feed them that oppress thee with
their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet
wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer,
the mighty One of Jacob. Matt. 23:28 Even
so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of
hypocrisy and iniquity. 29Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the
prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30And
say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers
with them in the blood of the prophets. 31Wherefore
ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed
the prophets. 32Fill ye up then the measure of
your fathers. 33Ye
serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34Wherefore,
behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye
shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues,
and persecute them from city to city: 35That
upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew
between the temple and the altar. 36Verily
I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are
sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a
hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Rev. 14:18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire……. 4th
Bowl Men are scorched
16:8-9 8And
the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him
to scorch men with fire. 9And men were scorched with great heat, and
blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they
repented not to give him glory. Isa 24: 6Therefore
hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. Isa 13: 13Therefore
I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in
the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. Isa 24: 20The
earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like
a cottage; (this is not a simple movement of its axis but more
like an elliptical orbit, burning the earth for part of a year and darkening it
for the other) Luke 21:25 And
there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the
earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Jonah 4:8And it came to pass, when the sun did arise,
that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah,
that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to
die than to live. Matt. 13:6
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no
root, they withered away. Jer. 5:3O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth?
thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but
they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than
a rock; they have refused to return. Luke 13:3 I tell
you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 5th
Bowl Darkness and Pain
16:10,11 10And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. Exod. 10:21And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out
thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt,
even darkness which may be felt. 22And Moses stretched forth his hand toward
heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
23They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but
all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. Psa. 78:49He cast upon them the fierceness of his
anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. Joel 3:15The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and
the stars shall withdraw their shining. Isa. 8:21And they shall pass through it, hardly
bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry,
they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
22And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness
of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness. Luke 13:28
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the
kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 2 Tim. 3:13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse
and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 6th
Bowl Euphrates Dried up
16:12-16 12And
the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the
water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be
prepared. 13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come
out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast,
and out of the mouth of the false prophet(the
call of the satanic trinity for an ungodly war).
14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go
forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the
battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15Behold, I come as a
thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk
naked, and they see his shame(last
call). 16And
he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. vs12 Isa. 11:15And the LORD shall utterly destroy the
tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand
over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over
dryshod. 16And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which
shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up
out of the land of Egypt. Isa. 44:27That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will
dry up thy rivers: Ezek. 38:15And thou shalt come from thy place out of
the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon
horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16And thou shalt come up against my
people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days,
and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I
shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. vs13
prior to tribulation 1 Tim 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in
the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their
conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to
abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of
them which believe and know the truth. Exod. 8:2And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I
will smite all thy borders with frogs: vs14 2 Chr. 18:20Then there came out a spirit, and stood
before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him,
Wherewith? 21And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of
all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also
prevail: go out, and do even so. 22Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a
lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
against thee. John 8:44Ye are of your father the devil, and the
lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode
not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he
speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Matt. 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Joel 3:11Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye
heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty
ones to come down, O LORD. 12Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the
valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round
about. Isa. 34:5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven:
behold, it shall come down upon Idumea(Edom, East and south of the Jordan
river and the Dead Sea, currently the country of Jordan), and upon the
people of my curse, to judgment. 6The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it
is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of
the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great
slaughter in the land of Idumea. 7And the unicorns shall come down with them,
and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and
their dust made fat with fatness. 8For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance,
and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. vs15 1 Thes. 5:2For yourselves know perfectly that the day
of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace
and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman
with child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness,
that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light,
and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Rev. 3:2 Be
watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I
have not found thy works perfect before God. 3Remember
therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If
therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt
not know what hour I will come upon thee. Christ
coming as a thief vs.15
This is a very interesting warning -- Here is the only real
clue in Revelation providing a time that Christ as the Thief is coming soon.
The warning is to those who have not been watching as the events of the
tribulation unfold, Keepeth
his garments, lest he walk naked—Here is a plain allusion to the office of
him who was called the prefect or overseer, of the mountain of the temple. His
custom was to go his rounds during the watches of the night; and if he found any
of the Levites sleeping on his watch, he had authority to beat him with a stick,
and burn his vestments. See Middoth, fol. 34, 1, and Tamid. fol. 27, 2; 28, 1.
Such a person being found on his return home naked, it was at once known that he
had been found asleep at his post, had been beaten, and his clothes burnt; thus
his shame was seen—he was reproached for his infidelity and irreligion. vs16
wars have been fought in this valley throughout history Zech. 12:11In that day shall there be a great
mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. Joel 3:9Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare
war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the
weak say, I am strong. 11Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and
gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come
down, O LORD. 12Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of
Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Zechariah 14:12And this shall be the plague wherewith
the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their
flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall
consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall
be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour,
and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. 14And Judah also
shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be
gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 15And so
shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and
of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. 7th
Bowl Earth utterly shaken
16:17-21 17And
the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice
out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18And
there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great
earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an
earthquake, and so great. 19And the great city was divided into three
parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance
before God(past

give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20And
every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21And there
fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a
talent (about

and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof
was exceeding great. Eph. 2:1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in
trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Eph. 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Dan. 12:7And I heard the man clothed in linen, which

hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a

power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Dan. 12:1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the
great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a
time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same
time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall
be found written in the book. Ezek. 38:22And I will plead against him with
pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and
upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great
hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Joel 3:16The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and
utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but
the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of
Israel. 17So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy
mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass
through her any more. Zechariah 14:4And his feet shall stand in that day
upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount
of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west,
and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove
toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5And ye shall flee to the
valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal:
yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of
Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with
thee. 6And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear,
nor dark: 7But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day,
nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. Heaven Exults over Babylon Rev 19:1-5 1And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore(Babylon), which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand(past tense). 3And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. 5And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is

that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the
fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9And he saith unto me,

I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? 3I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. 6And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. The Beast and his
Armies Defeated
19:17-21
17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven(air), Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. Matt 24:28 For wheresoever
the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 19And
I saw the beast(anti-Christ),
and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war
against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20And the
beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before
him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and
them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire
burning with brimstone. 21And the remnant were slain with the sword
of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth(the Word of God): and all the fowls were filled with their
flesh. Satan bound 1000
years
20:1-3
1And
I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a
great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And
cast him into the bottomless pit(not hell or lake of fire), and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he
should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:
and after that he must be loosed a little season(7th

description of the Temple found in Ezekiel Chs 40-46 Dan 8:13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another
saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision
concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give
both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14And he said unto me,
Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
(6yr 4mo) Ezekiel 43:1Afterward he brought me to the gate, even
the gate that looketh toward the east: 2And, behold, the glory of the God of
Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many
waters: and the earth shined with his glory. 3And it was according to the
appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw
when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw
by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. 4And the glory of the LORD came
into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. 5So the
spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory
of the LORD filled the house. 6And I heard him speaking unto me out of the
house; and the man stood by me. Saints Reign with
Christ
20:4-6
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon
them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon
their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until
the thousand years were finished(not
the 1st resurrection). This (verse
4) is the first resurrection. 6Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second
death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with him a thousand years. Satanic rebellion
Crushed
20:7-10
7And when the thousand years are
expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8And shall go out
to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and
Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of
the sea. 9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed
the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God
out of heaven, and devoured them. (this
is to include the whole earth Rev 20:11, 21:1)
10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day
and night for ever and ever. 2 Pet 3:10-13 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and
great(everyone),
stand before God(some versions
say “the Throne”); and the books were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which
were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the
sea(the earth is gone.
This would be the sea which is before the throne)
gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead
which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And
death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And
whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of
fire. Daniel 7:9I beheld till the
thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white
as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the
fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10A fiery stream issued and came
forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand
times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were
opened. 11I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn
spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given
to the burning flame. 12As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their
dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. 13I
saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the
clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near
before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that
all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an
everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which
shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:26But the judgment shall
sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto
the end. 27And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under
the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High,
whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey
him. New
heaven and earth
21:1-8 1And I saw a new heaven and a new
earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no
more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming
down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And
I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is
with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things
are passed away. 5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I
make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful. 6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of
the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all
things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But the
fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. New
Jerusalem
21:9-27 9And there came unto me one of the
seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and
talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb’s
wife(a city with people vs. 24).
10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain,
and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from
God, 11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone
most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12And had
a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and
names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children
of Israel: 13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on
the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14And the wall of
the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of
the Lamb. 15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure
the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16And the city
lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the
city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs(1400 miles cubed). The length and the
breadth and the height of it are equal. 17And he measured the
wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits(200 feet),
according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18And the
building of the wall of it
was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19And
the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of
precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the
third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20The fifth, sardonyx;
the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a
topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an
amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several
gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were
transparent glass. 22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23And the city had no
need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did
lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24And the nations of
them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth
do bring their glory and honour into it. 25And the gates of it shall
not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26And
they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27And
there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever
worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s
book of life. The
River of Life
22:1-5 1And he showed me a pure river of
water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the
Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the
river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and
yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing
of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of
God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And
they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the
sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 10 PAC NATIONS OF MUSLEM EMPIRE These kingdoms were not established at the time John wrote

This
parable leads us to the ones who will know Jesus as Lord but will still be shut
out because they weren't properly prepared.
They haphazardly followed Jesus, but Jesus didn't know them. Matt 24:43
But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the
thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his
house to be broken up. 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an
hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Matt 25:1
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their
lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and
five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil
with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the
bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a
cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those
virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise,
Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying,
Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that
sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came;
and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and
the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord,
Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I
know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour
wherein the Son of man cometh. Here
is an example of what kind of sin that will send an unprepared Christian into
the tribulation. Matt 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Those
raised later will receive the same as the first and we all will belong to
Christ. Matt 20:1 For the kingdom of
heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the
morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 2And when he had agreed with the
labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3And he went out
about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4And said
unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give
you. And they went their way. 5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour,
and did likewise. 6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others
standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7They
say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into
the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. 8So when even was
come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and
give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9And when they
came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more;
and they likewise received every man a penny. 11And when they had received it,
they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12Saying, These last have
wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne
the burden and heat of the day. 13But
he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou
agree with me for a penny? 14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give
unto this last, even as unto thee. 15Is it not lawful for me to do what I
will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16So the last
shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Talking
to the Apostles, they would follow him into the regeneration and would sit on 12
of the 24 thrones Matt 19:28 And Jesus said
unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the
regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also
shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And every
one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or
wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold,
and shall inherit everlasting life. 30But many that are first shall be last; and
the last shall be first. Area for more studyThe

Those dead (not martyred) raised in the first resurection shall live

will reign first in the last 1000 years of this earth. ??? Rev 20:4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The
early resurrection of the dead will rest in Heaven with the Lord until the 1000
years are finished 2 Corinthians 5:6Therefore we are always confident,
knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8We are confident, I say, and willing
rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Dan 12:2And many of them that sleep in the dust of
the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and
everlasting contempt. Firstfruits 1 Corinthians 15:20But now is Christ risen from the
dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1 Corinthians 15:23But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24Then
cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the
Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. Exodus 23:19The first of the firstfruits of thy land
thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Romans 8:23And not only they, but ourselves also,
which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. James 1:18Of his own will begat he us with the word
of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Resurrection Matt 27:51And, behold, the veil of the temple was
rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks
rent; 52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept
arose, 53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the
holy city, and appeared unto many. Luke 14:13 But when thou
makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14And thou shalt
be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at
the resurrection of the just. Luke 20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife
of them is she? for seven had her to wife. 34And Jesus answering said unto them,
The children of this world marry, and are given in
marriage: 35But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and
the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the
children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 37Now that the dead are
raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38For he is not a God of
the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. John 11:25Jesus said unto her, I
am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live: 26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this? 1 Corinthians 15:42So also is the resurrection of the
dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in
dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural
body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, The first man Adam
was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit
that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward
that which is spiritual. 47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man
is the Lord from heaven. 48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:
and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49And as we have
borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of
God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto
a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an
inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in
heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Thessalonians 5
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them 1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have
no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of
the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and
safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with
child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that
that day (of the Lord) should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children
of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. APPENDIX VII Matthew

This generation (present day Israel) shall not
pass (biblical life span of man is 120 years, 1948+120=2068),
till all these things be fulfilled. 35Heaven
and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36But
of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father
only. 37But as the days of Noe
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For
as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And
knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be

42Watch therefore: for ye
know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43But
know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief
would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be

he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man
cometh. 14For the kingdom
of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own
servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15And
unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man
according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16Then
he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made
them other five talents. 17And likewise he
that had received two, he also gained other two. 18But
he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s
money. 19After a long time the
lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20And
so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents,
saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained
beside them five talents more. 21His
lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord. 22He also that had
received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents:
behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23His
lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord. 24Then he which had
received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard
man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25And I was afraid, and
went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26His
lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest
that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou
oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming
I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take
therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For
unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from
him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And
cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth. 31When the Son of
man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit
upon the throne of his glory: 32And
before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from
another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33And
he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34Then
shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For
I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I
was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked,
and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came
unto me. 37Then shall the righteous
answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or
thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When
saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or
when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And
the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto
me. 41Then shall he say also
unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For
I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no
drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye
took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye
visited me not. 44Then shall they
also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a
stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then
shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not
to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And
these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life
eternal. Mark 13
1And
as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see
what manner of stones and what buildings are here! 2And Jesus
answering said unto him, Seest thou these great
buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down. 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over
against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4Tell
us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these
things shall be fulfilled? 5And
Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man
deceive you: 6For many shall come in
my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7And
when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such
things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8For
nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are
the beginnings of sorrows. 9But take
heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the
synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings
for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11But
when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand
what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given
you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy
Ghost. 12Now the brother shall betray
the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against
their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13And
ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall
endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth
understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
15And let him that is on the housetop not go
down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his
house: 16And let him that is in the
field not turn back again for to take up his garment. 17But
woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
18And pray ye that your flight be not in the
winter. 19For in those days
shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which
God created unto this time, neither shall be. 20And
except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for
the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. 21And
then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is
there; believe him not: 22For
false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders,
to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 23But
take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. 24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light, 25And the
stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26And then shall they see the Son of man
coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27And
then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four
winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. 28Now learn a parable of
the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know
that summer is near: 29So ye in like
manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even
at the doors. 30Verily I say unto you,
that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. 31Heaven
and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 32But
of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in
heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33Take
ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34For
the Son of man is as a man taking a far
journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every
man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35Watch
ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or
at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37And
what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Luke
21 1And
he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2And
he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3And
he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow
hath cast in more than they all: 4For
all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of
her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. 5And
as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he
said, 6As for
these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not
be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 7And
they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will
there be when these things shall come to pass? 8And he said, Take
heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ;
and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. 9But
when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things
must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 10Then
said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom: 11And great
earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful
sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. 12But
before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you,
delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought
before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. 13And
it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14Settle
it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,
which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16And
ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends;
and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 17And
ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. 18But
there shall not an hair of your head perish. 19In
your patience possess ye your souls. 20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that
the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them
which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst
of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22For these be the days of vengeance, that
all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But
woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!
for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24And they shall fall by the edge of the
sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be
trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in
the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with
perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men’s
hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are
coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And
then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28And when these things begin to come to
pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. 29And
he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all
the trees; 30When they now shoot
forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31So likewise ye, when ye see these things
come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32Verily
I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my
words shall not pass away. 34And take heed to
yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and
drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you
unawares. 35For as a snare shall
it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch
ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all
these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he
went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38And
all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him. Isaiah
13 1The
burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see. 2Lift ye up
a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that
they may go into the gates of the nobles. 3I have commanded my
sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even
them that rejoice in my highness. 4The noise of a multitude in the
mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of
nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. 5They
come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the
weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. 6Howl
ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction
from the Almighty. 7Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every
man’s heart shall melt: 8And they shall be afraid: pangs and
sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that
travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as
flames. 9Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath
and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners
thereof out of it. 10For the stars of heaven and the
constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in
his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11And
I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their
iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low
the haughtiness of the terrible. 12I will make a man more precious
than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. 13Therefore
I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the
wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. 14And
it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall
every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. 15Every
one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto
them shall fall by the sword. 16Their children also shall be
dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their
wives ravished. 17Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them,
which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in
it. 18Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and
they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare
children. 19And
Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall
be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Isaiah
14 1For
the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in
their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall
cleave to the house of Jacob. 2And the people shall take them, and
bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the
land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives,
whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. 3And
it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy
sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to
serve, 4That
thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath
the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! 5The LORD hath broken
the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. 6He
who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations
in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. 7The whole earth
is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. 8Yea,
the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying,
Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. 9Hell from
beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the
dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up
from their thrones all the kings of the nations. 10All they shall
speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like
unto us? 11Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the
noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. 12How
art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou
cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou
hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in
the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds; I will be like the most High. 15Yet thou shalt be brought
down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16They that see thee shall
narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the
man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17That
made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that
opened not the house of his prisoners? 18All the kings of the
nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 19But
thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the
raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to
the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. 20Thou shalt
not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and
slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. 21Prepare
slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not
rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. 22For
I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon
the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD. 23I will
also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep
it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts. 24The
LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to
pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: 25That I will
break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then
shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their
shoulders. 26This is the purpose that is purposed upon the
whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the
nations. 27For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall
disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it
back? 28In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden. 29Rejoice
not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for
out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall
be a fiery flying serpent. 30And the firstborn of the poor shall
feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with
famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. 31Howl, O gate; cry, O city;
thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north
a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. 32What
shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath
founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it. Isaiah
15 1The
burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and
brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and
brought to silence; 2He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high
places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall
be baldness, and every beard cut off. 3In their streets
they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in
their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly. 4And Heshbon
shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz:
therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous
unto him. 5My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall
flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of
Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall
raise up a cry of destruction. 6For
the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass
faileth, there is no green thing. 7Therefore the abundance they have
gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of
the willows. 8For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab;
the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beerelim. 9For
the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon,
lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land. Isaiah
16 1Send
ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount
of the daughter of Zion. 2For it shall be, that, as a
wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at
the fords of Arnon. 3Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow
as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; betray not him that
wandereth. 4Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert
to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the
spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. 5And in
mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the
tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness. 6We
have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his
haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be
so. 7Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for
the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken. 8For
the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the
heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even
unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are
stretched out, they are gone over the sea. 9Therefore I will bewail
with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O
Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest
is fallen. 10And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful
field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be
shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have
made their vintage shouting to cease. 11Wherefore my bowels
shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh. 12And
it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place,
that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail. 13This
is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time. 14But
now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an
hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great
multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble. Isaiah
17 1The
burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and
it shall be a ruinous heap. 2The cities of Aroer are forsaken:
they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them
afraid. 3The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom
from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the
children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. 4And in that day it
shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the
fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. 5And it shall be as when the
harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall
be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. 6Yet
gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or
three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the
outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel. 7At
that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the
Holy One of Israel. 8And he shall not look to the altars, the work of
his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either
the groves, or the images. 9In
that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost
branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be
desolation. 10Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation,
and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou
plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: 11In the
day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy
seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of
grief and of desperate sorrow. 12Woe
to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the
seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing
of mighty waters! 13The nations shall rush like the rushing of many
waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall
be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling
thing before the whirlwind. 14And behold at eveningtide trouble; and
before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that
spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. Isaiah
18 1Woe
to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
2That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes
upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered
and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted
out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled! 3All ye
inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up
an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. 4For
so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my
dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in
the heat of harvest. 5For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect,
and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs
with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. 6They
shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the
earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth
shall winter upon them. 7In that time shall the present be brought
unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people
terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under
foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD
of hosts, the mount Zion. Isaiah
19 1The
burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into
Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of
Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2And I will set the Egyptians
against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and
every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against
kingdom. 3And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof;
and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to
the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. 4And
the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king
shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. 5And the
waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. 6And
they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be
emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. 7The paper
reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the
brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more. 8The
fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall
lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. 9Moreover
they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. 10And
they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and
ponds for fish. 11Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the
counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto
Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? 12Where
are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee
now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. 13The
princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have
also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. 14The
LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused
Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his
vomit. 15Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the
head or tail, branch or rush, may do. 16In that day shall Egypt be
like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the
hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it. 17And the land
of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof
shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which
he hath determined against it. 18In
that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan,
and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. 19In
that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt,
and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. 20And it shall be for
a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they
shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a
saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. 21And the LORD
shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and
shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and
perform it. 22And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite
and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall
be entreated of them, and shall heal them. 23In that day shall there
be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt,
and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
24In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even
a blessing in the midst of the land: 25Whom the LORD of hosts shall
bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my
hands, and Israel mine inheritance. Isaiah
21 1The
burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so
it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. 2A grievous vision
is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the
spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have
I made to cease. 3Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have
taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at
the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it. 4My
heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned
into fear unto me. 5Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat,
drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. 6For thus
hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth. 7And
he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and
a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: 8And
he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the
daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: 9And, behold, here
cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and
said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he
hath broken unto the ground. 10O my threshing, and the corn of my
floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I
declared unto you. 11The
burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night?
Watchman, what of the night? 12The watchman said, The morning cometh,
and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come. 13The
burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling
companies of Dedanim. 14The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought
water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled. 15For
they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from
the grievousness of war. 16For thus hath the Lord said unto me,
Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar
shall fail: 17And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty
men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel
hath spoken it. Isaiah
24 1Behold,
the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside
down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2And it shall
be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his
master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the
seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so
with the giver of usury to him. 3The land shall be utterly emptied,
and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4The earth
mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away,
the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5The earth also is
defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws,
changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6Therefore
hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7The
new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh. 8The
mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the
harp ceaseth. 9They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink
shall be bitter to them that drink it. 10The city of confusion is
broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11There
is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the
land is gone. 12In the city is left desolation, and the gate is
smitten with destruction. 13When
thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be
as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the
vintage is done. 14They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing
for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. 15Wherefore
glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel
in the isles of the sea. 16From
the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the
righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous
dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very
treacherously. 17Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon
thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18And it shall come to pass, that
he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that
cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the
windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19The
earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved
exceedingly. 20The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and
shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy
upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21And it
shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of
the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the
earth. 22And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are
gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days
shall they be visited. 23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the
sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem,
and before his ancients gloriously. Isaiah
30 1Woe
to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me;
and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to
sin: 2That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my
mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the
shadow of Egypt! 3Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your
shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. 4For
his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes. 5They
were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help
nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach. 6The burden of the
beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come
the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry
their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the
bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them. 7For
the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried
concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. 8Now
go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for
the time to come for ever and ever: 9That this is a rebellious
people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10Which
say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right
things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11Get you out
of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease
from before us. 12Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel,
Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay
thereon: 13Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready
to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an
instant. 14And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’
vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be
found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take
water withal out of the pit. 15For thus saith the Lord GOD,
the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness
and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16But ye
said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will
ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17One
thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye
flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign
on an hill. 18And
therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore
will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a
God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. 19For
the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be
very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will
answer thee. 20And though the Lord give you the bread of
adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed
into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 21And
thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk
ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. 22Ye
shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament
of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth;
thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. 23Then shall he give the rain
of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of
the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed
in large pastures. 24The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear
the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel
and with the fan. 25And there shall be upon every high mountain, and
upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the
great slaughter, when the towers fall. 26Moreover the light of the
moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be
sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the
breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. 27Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his
anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation,
and his tongue as a devouring fire: 28And his breath, as an
overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations
with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of
the people, causing them to err. 29Ye shall have a song,
as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as
when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty
One of Israel. 30And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be
heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his
anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering,
and tempest, and hailstones. 31For through the voice of the LORD
shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod. 32And in every place where the grounded staff shall
pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and
harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it. 33For Tophet is
ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and
large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD,
like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. Isaiah
31 1Woe
to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in
chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very
strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! 2Yet
he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words:
but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them
that work iniquity. 3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;
and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his
hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down,
and they all shall fail together. 4For thus hath the LORD spoken unto
me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of
shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their
voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come
down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. 5As birds
flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will
deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. 6Turn
ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted. 7For
in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of
gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin. 8Then
shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not
of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young
men shall be discomfited. 9And he shall pass over to his strong hold
for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose
fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. Isaiah
32 1Behold,
a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. 2And
a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest;
as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary
land. 3And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears
of them that hear shall hearken. 4The heart also of the rash shall
understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak
plainly. 5The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the
churl said to be bountiful. 6For the vile person will speak
villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter
error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause
the drink of the thirsty to fail. 7The instruments also of the churl are
evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when
the needy speaketh right. 8But the liberal deviseth liberal things;
and by liberal things shall he stand. 9Rise
up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear
unto my speech. 10Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye
careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come. 11Tremble,
ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make
you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins. 12They
shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine. 13Upon
the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the
houses of joy in the joyous city: 14Because the palaces shall
be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall
be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; 15Until
the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful
field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. 16Then
judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful
field. 17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect
of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. 18And my people
shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet
resting places; 19When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and
the city shall be low in a low place. 20Blessed are ye that
sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the
ass. Isaiah
33 1Woe
to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest
treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease
to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal
treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. 2O LORD, be
gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our
salvation also in the time of trouble. 3At the noise of the tumult
the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered. 4And
your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as
the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them. 5The LORD
is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and
righteousness. 6And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of
thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his
treasure. 7Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the
ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly. 8The highways lie waste,
the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the
cities, he regardeth no man. 9The earth mourneth and
languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a
wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits. 10Now
will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself. 11Ye
shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire,
shall devour you. 12And the people shall be as the burnings of
lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire. 13Hear,
ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near,
acknowledge my might. 14The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness
hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?
who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? 15He that walketh
righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,
that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from
hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; 16He shall
dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks:
bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. 17Thine
eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very
far off. 18Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the
scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the
towers? 19Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper
speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst
not understand. 20Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine
eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not
be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither
shall any of the cords thereof be broken. 21But there the glorious
LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein
shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. 22For
the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is
our king; he will save us. 23Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not
well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of
a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. 24And the inhabitant
shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven
their iniquity. Isaiah
34 1Come
near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all
that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 2For
the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon
all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the
slaughter. 3Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall
come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their
blood. 4And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the
heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall
down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from
the fig tree. 5For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it
shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. 6The
sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and
with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the
LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. 7And
the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and
their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. 8For
it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of
recompenses for the controversy of Zion. 9And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. 10It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. 11But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. 12They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. 13And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it |
